Because of the numerous Calls and Messages I receive daily from parents, guardians and students from different parts of the country in their attempt to know more about the 2018 admissions processes,  I have taken time to Capture ALL the questions that are most Commonly asked and provided explicit answers to ALL !

*Question 1:* Sir,  having accepted my admission on CAPS , what's the next step I should take ?

*Answer 1:* Dear,  Congratulations !. Go on and Print your Admission letter . Get all the relevant documents ready and prepare for screaning,  registration & resumption !. CU@DTOP !

*Question 2 :* Sir, I have been admitted on the University's Portal but my CAPS Profile still says, NOT ADMITTED ( NA )

*Answer 2:*  Dear, It's the University that offers admissions to students and afterwards forwards their names to JAMB for approval & for admission on CAPS .

Dear, you have indeed been admitted but you still see NA on your CAPS because the University is yet to forward your Name or those of your department to JAMB via CAPS. The Moment your Name is forwarded to CAPS, your Admission Status Changes immediately to Admission in Progress ( AIP )

So, remain unperturbed, your CAPS Status will Change shortly as your name is forwarded to JAMB

*Question 3 .* Sir, My aggregate Score is greater than the CUT OFF POINT(COP ),  but my CAPS still reads NA whereas others in my department who have the same Score with me are already seeing AIP or have even been admitted.

*Answer 3:*  Dear, If you made the MERIT COP, or Catchment Area COP , it's a MUST that you will be admitted , Ceteris paribus !

i. Try and Check up your UTME subject Combinations.

ii. If your combination is wrong, the Institution will automatically disqualify you & your name won't be forwarded to CAPS, so no admissions !

iii. If you check through your combination & everything appears OK, you should write the REGISTRAR or the director of admissions of the Institution immediately !

IV. I would also advice that you visit the admissions department of your Institution with all your documents and make a complaint if this persists

*Question 4.* Sir, Is it Possible for someone whose CAPS Status has changed to AIP, to still not be admitted ?

*Answer 4.*  NO, DEAR !.Ceteris Paribus !

I.  Once your CAPS Status has read AIP, it means that the University has offered you admission, forwarded your name to CAPS but your Name is Simply awaiting JAMB'S approval on CAPS

ii. The candidate may ONLY not be admitted if and only if JAMB discovers that he/she isn't qualified for admissions according to the conditions ( such as wrong Subject Combinations, etc) but was still admitted by the Institution against due process

JAMB will Simply disqualify such a Candidate and the CAPS will read , NA !

*Question 5 .* Sir, My CAPS Status has been on AIP for long. Have I been disqualified ?

*Answer 5* :  NO, DEAR !. JAMB is yet to approve your Admission. It will be done soon  and you will be given  the beautiful opportunity to either Accept ot Reject it !.

*NOTE* : Once your CAPS has read AIP, it CAN'T revert to NA, Ceteris paribus !

*Question 6.*  Sir, there are  discrepancies in the details contained in my documents, in Age &  Name arrangement. What should I do ?

*Answer 6.*  Dear, the action to take is subject to the nature of the discrepancy

I. Go to the nearest CBT Centre for Data Correction if the error is on your JAMB document.

ii. If the error exists in your O LEVEL Result or certificate, please go to the Court for an affidavit

ii. If the error is on your birth certificate or testimonial, go for an affidavit or obtain new ones

iii. In whatever document the error exists, an affidavit can suffice

i. Data correction is still ongoing !. Go to the nearest CBT CENTRE and have your data corrected if any error exists on your JAMB document

*Question 7:*  Sir, My Email address isn't working. What should I do ?.

*Answer 7* .  Dear, exercise patience !. Try it the next day , try using Google Chrome browser

If this problem still persists, please visit the nearest CBT CENTRE or JAMB OFFICE !

*Question 8.* Sir, JAMB offered me a Course I didn't apply for  Originally on CAPS, in the same Institution. What Should I do ?

*Answer 8* : Dear, actually, it's not JAMB that offered you this Course, rather the Institution !. It simply means that the Institution didn't deem you qualified for your Original Course and decided to assign a New one to you !

*Should I accept !.* YES & NO !. If you like the New Course, dear go on and accept it gladly but if you don't like it, please reject it !

*Question 9* :  Sir, JAMB offered me a Course I didn't apply for  Originally on CAPS, in the same Institution. If I REJECT the Course, will I still be offered another Course in the same Institution ?

*Answer 9.* NO, DEAR !. The one you rejected is the only one that particular Institution has for you

However, another Institution can still admit you, Ceteris paribus !

*Question 10* : Sir, I was offered admission on CAPS and assigned to an institution I didn't apply to originally. Why ?

*Answer 10.* i. Dear, the Original Institution you applied to notified JAMB that it has no admission for you this year

ii. JAMB assigned you to another Institution that has a space for you

*Question 11.* Sir, on my CAPS, the message displayed is " RECOMMENDED ". what does this mean ?

*Answer 11:*  Dear, It means that the Original Institution you applied to doesn't have admission for you this year and JAMB has recommended you  to another Institution . The Moment, this new Institution accepts you as recommended by JAMB, your CAPS Status changes to ADMITTED & you will be asked to either accept or reject it

*Question 12* . Sir, I was given admission on CAPS into an Institution I don't like, what should I do ? . Will my Original Institution of Choice Still admit me ?

*Answer 12.*   i. Dear,  ACCEPT the admission if you like the Institution/ Course

      ii. REJECT the admission if you don't like it
    
       ii. Don't ignore it . ACCEPT or REJECT IT !

       iii. U won't be Considered for admission           again by the Formal Institution you Chose , whether you ACCEPT this or REJECT it

*Question 13.* Sir,  Can I still apply for admission into an Institution I didn't Choose during registration ?

*Answer  13.* Yes, you can if the Institution accepts it &  still has room for application , however you Must go on the JAMB Portal and Change the Institution to your First Choice Institution

*Question 14:*  Sir,   If No University or polytechnic offers me admission, can I apply to a College Of Education I didn't chose in the First Place ?

*Answer 14:*  Yes Dear, you can apply to a College of Education but

I.  you MUST be sure that the College is still admitting students

ii. go to a CBT CENTRE ,Change your Institution Of First Choice on JAMB Portal  to the College Of Education !

iii. proceed to the College for screaning

IV. After the screaning, the College forwards your Name to CAPS for JAMB'S approval

V. Finally you will be given the opportunity to either accept or reject the admission

*Question 15.*  Sir, If two Institutions offer me admission at the same Time, can I  accept the two admissions or Can I accept 1 and sell one off ?

*Answer 15.* Two Institutions can not offer you Admission in a Particular year !.NO !.
Once you have accepted your Admission on CAPS into one Institution , you can't accept another one because CAPS is centrally controlled

*Sell ?.* Dear, you can't sell what you don't have !

*Question 16.* Sir,  If I'm given admission by an Institution, can I defer it untill next academic Session ?

*Answer 16.* Dear,  It's Possible but you Must have fulfilled these Conditions !

i. Accepted the admission on CAPS

ii. Completed all the Online and Offline registrations, submitted all your documents and Made all the Payments as stipulated by the Institution

iii. Finally, you apply for deferment to the Registrar of your Institution through the HOD of your department !

*Question 17.* Sir, If I'm offered a Course I don't like, can I accept it and still try getting another in the same or different Institution ?

*Answer 17.* Dear, NO !. Once you have accepted one admission on CAPS, you can't be given another that academic session 

*Question 18.* Sir,  If My subject Combinations are wrong for a particular Course, will the Institution be merciful and offer me another Course ?

*Answer 18.* Dear,  May be , may be not !

*Question 19 .*  Sir,  If my O LEVEL result Grades doesn't meet the requirements of my Course/ Institution, will I still be admitted ?

*Answer 19.*   DEAR, NO !. That's the reason JAMB has asked all the Candidates to go and upload their results on the portal.

Even if the Institution mistakenly or mischievouly admits you, JAMB will still disqualify you !

*Question 20* . Sir, if my O-LEVEL result appears on the Institution's Portal but does not appear on the JAMB'S Portal, will I still be admitted ?

*Answer 20:*  Well, the Institution will admit you but JAMB will still disqualify you .Once, your O LEVEL result doesn't appear on the JAMB Portal, you will be automatically disqualified !

Dear, hurry now to the nearest CBT Centre and upload your O LEVEL RESULT

*Question21* . Sir,   Can I still reapply for the UTME next year, when I'm already in year 1 ?

*Answer 21.* YES DEAR !, but ensure that during the UTME Registration that you use an Email different from the one you used in the previous registration, otherwise you might be disqualified !

*Question 22 :* Sir,  Can I change my Course when I finish my 100 level ?

*Answer 22 .* YES Dear,  depending on the Institution and Course . You will find out from your Institution how the process is carried out.
But understand that to change from a low to a highly competitive department in year 2 or 3, you will be expected to have performed excellently well in year 1

*Question 23 :* Sir,  If I'm admitted into a Polytechnic or College of Education now, can I change to the University later, without sitting for the UTME

*Answer 23:* YES Dear,  this is very easy via Direct entry application.

*Question 24* :  Sir,  If I study an education Course, does it mean that I must end up as a Class room teacher  ?

Answer 24. NO Dear !. What you become tomorrow is solely in your hands & the Plan of God concerning your life . You can still go into any profession anytime in Life .

For Instance I know a very Notable Nigerian Lawyer who had First read Chemistry Education in a College of Education before going to the University to read Law !

I also know a very successful doctor who had read MLS before going back to the University to Read MBBS

Question 25:  Can I use my 2018 JAMB result to gain admission in 2019 ?

Answer 25 : NO !. For now, JAMB result expires after Each admissions season !
