OUR WOUND IS YET TO BE HEALED,BECAUSE HISTORIES LIVES ON.     History will always bring back the good and bad incidents that happened in the past and it will be good to make use of them in a very decent way either to follow them or to develop them.     History, can be put in the position of a wise man,it can also be call an Experience, therefore whatever you have experienced will definitely become history.      Our experience determine how long you have lived (sometimes) and it determine how expose you are to some things. One of Yoruba adage says _"Bi omo koba ba itan aba aroba,Aroba baba itan"_ meaning _"if a child does not meet Story will meet History and History is father of Story "._ therefore histories of what has happen in Our society will never die if there are people who knows about them and what they have experienced will always be in there mind.     This brought my pen on the issue going on Obafemi Awolowo University about the release  of 12 suspected cu

THE FACULTY DEAN (LAW), PROFESSOR S.B ODUNSI ASSURED THE LAW ASPIRANTS OVER THE FACULTY DISACCREDITATION

THE MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN, PROFESSOR S.B. ODUNSI OVER THE FACULTY'S DISACCREDITATION    As it is agreed that it is an ugly slap on the face of the institution and particularly Prestigious faculty of LAW over its debility to meet the requirements for the supposed accreditation. The faculty of law, OAU has then deliberated on issues which will be of a great privilege to the in coming part one.                    How?   Very good question! The students in their choices should change their courses to mainly to courses offered in Faculty of Art like English, Literature, Philosophy. This thereby will award an easy cross to the prestigious faculty of LAW as she will print out the lists of those who picked law initially. Whao! This is a pretty look of consideration and a trumpcard over those who change institution and the subsequent bodies who will pick law. The reason for this is to inform any family or friends who still have keen interest in studying LAW in OAU!    ONE IFELAW

OAU MANAGEMENT PROMISES TO SORT OUT ACCREDITATION CRISIS. The Faculty Of Law &Dentistry, Department of Fine Arts, Botany has lost accreditation &Medical Rehabilitation (which just got accreditated back). Temmylive Agency made it known that this is the third time Faculty of Law will lose accreditation, 1992,2006,2018 respectively. Also, a source who pleaded anonymity stated that the Department Of Botany never got full accreditation since its inception as a course of study in the university. However, the management of Obafemi Awolowo University has promised to sort out the present accreditation crisis rocking some departments and faculties in the institution. REASONS HOTINC HAS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY TURNED STUDENTS INTO MENDICANT

REASONS HOTINC HAS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY TURNED STUDENTS INTO MENDICANT For some years now, a regular campus event has prevailed the intelligence of majority of Great Ife students , I wonder how majority of Great ife students will be swimming inside the pool of ignorance, the so called HOTINC doesn't show any sign of trustworthiness or credibility to handle such program in academic environment . Besides, some prospective and worthy students have fallen victim whereby you come across different categories like BEST BLOGGER, BEST WRITER , MOST BEAUTIFUL , STUDENT ACTIVIST and the likes. Without prejudice, I would like to wake the consciousness of the Great ife students by pointing to four of the flaws of this so called HOTINC. 1) Shadow Nomination; the winner of a particular category in the HOTINC winners list are already predetermined, they only allow other prospects to be contest in the shadows. They have directly turned the students into beggars, when these students meet o

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE VICE-CHANCELLOR Dunnex writes...✍ _Administration isn't all about attacking unionism/activism_ 1. In less than a week after the successful completion of the 'food and identity' festival- an event which can be commended as a nice initiative in promoting & preserving the rich sociocultural values of the Yoruba race; with the presence of reputable Yoruba indigenes such as Wole Soyinka and Saheed Osupa among others, courtesy of the collaborative effort of Ogun state government and the university management- the university has once again had a reason to find itself in the public's spotlight. 2. This time, not for a case of remanding student activists' in Koshere prison nor a faceless audio leakage of sexual harassment like we witnessed during the Monica osagie's case, but for the disaccreditation of the prestigious faculty of law alongside three other departments with your department inclusive. 3. "But why! Why would a whole facult

WHY IS THE UNIVERSITY AUTHORITY SCARED OF A RADICAL AND VIBRANT UNIONISM?

Image
WHY IS THE UNIVERSITY AUTHORITY SCARED OF A RADICAL AND VIBRANT UNIONISM? When we talk about radical, vibrant and mass-bassed unionism in Obafemi Awolowo University, it should be noted that it must not be limited to the Great Ife Students' Union alone, but also ASUU, JAC (NASU, SSNAU, NAAT). It was during these glorious years, when there was a very large number of ideologues as members of the union and also occupying key positions in these unions that the University was widely regarded as 'Great Ife'. Unfortunately in our generation, we have members of ASUU who are only interested in political appointments and thus have betrayed the mandate the forefathers of OAU ASUU is known for. Likewise in the Students' Union too, we have a number of students who believe that germane issues do not concern them, we have students that believe romancing with the school management to get their parochial interests granted at the expense of the general interests of others. The degenera

OPEN LETTER TO OAU MANAGEMENT ON THE DISACCREDITATION OF FACULTY OF LAW

OPEN LETTER TO OAU MANAGEMENT ON THE DISACCREDITATION OF FACULTY OF LAW It struck us like thunderbolt and we were left perplexed when we,the OAU 2018/19 law aspirants got to know OAU law faculty has lost its accreditation based on the message we all got from Jamb. It was like a dream, we took it to be a joke when we got the message individually thinking can this be real??  But by time we have got to know the message isn't more of a joke as it tends to stand valid. We are yet to believe this wholeheartedly,we have never dreamt about this,we have never seen it coming.. Now the question is Where should we start from?? How should we pick up the pieces and restart another journey at this dime minute?? Now we are feeling so bad within,we just can't imagine this happening despite our hard times burning several midnight candles, despite the fact we are taking actions of relentlessly pursuing our dreams just to get admission into the law faculty.. Regrets have set in and we are gre

BARCELONA COMPLETE SIGNING OF ARTURO VIDAL FOR £27M FROM BAYERN MUNICH • Chilean joins Spanish champions from Bayern Munich Arturo Vidal joined Bayern in 2015 but has now moved to Barcelona in a £27m deal. Barcelona have completed the signing of Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich after agreeing personal terms with the Chile midfielder over a £27m transfer. The 31-year-old, who moved to Germany in 2015 from Juventus for £32m, met Barça officials last week and passed his medical after being granted permission to leave by the new Bayern manager, Niko Kovac. Barcelona have already spent more than £100m this summer on deals for the French defender Clément Lenglet and the Brazilian pair Arthur and Malcom and had been in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for Adrien Rabiot. But the French champions’ unwillingness to allow the 23-year-old to leave Parc des Princes led to them turning their attention to Vidal. Barça are also close to completing a move for the Senegal defender
