REASONS HOTINC HAS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY TURNED STUDENTS INTO MENDICANT

For some years now, a regular campus event has prevailed the intelligence of majority of Great Ife students , I wonder how majority of Great ife students will be swimming inside the pool of ignorance, the so called HOTINC doesn't show any sign of trustworthiness or credibility to handle such program in academic environment .

Besides, some prospective and worthy students have fallen victim whereby you come across different categories like BEST BLOGGER, BEST WRITER , MOST BEAUTIFUL , STUDENT ACTIVIST and the likes.

Without prejudice, I would like to wake the consciousness of the Great ife students by pointing to four of the flaws of this so called HOTINC.

1) Shadow Nomination; the winner of a particular category in the HOTINC winners list are already predetermined, they only allow other prospects to be contest in the shadows. They have directly turned the students into beggars, when these students meet on the road side, they ask you whether you have instagram account and they vote for themselves, this has shown unprofessional attitude of these students,  majority of the Watsapp groups the contestants are involved  have been spammed due to this reason it has led to their removal from the group

Nominee Charges; the nominees have been asked to pay some amount of money (#2000) in other to claim their prize this include both the lose and the losers , the so called HOTINC mandated the payment on every nominee with a compulsory of #2000 so as to make provisions for their entrance fee, nominee seat, backstage pass and winner party ,this has revealed the incapability of HOTINC to reveal one of their flaws.

The contest is not transparent; I think the winner should be chosen by merit not by fame, a very good example is that of student activist whereby you see some political sychophants in the category of student activist, great Ife students know who worth this accolade HOTINC should not interfere in such. Adejumo Kabir didn't beg anybody by the road to please borrow him his or her mobile phone in other to vote for himself and don't forget he has won best writer in Nigeria three times in a row .

I would advice the generality of great Ife students to be sensible when it comes to where we should apply our intelligent ability ,you don't beg for fame, fame finds its way to locate you.
