OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY STUDENT COMMITS SUICIDE

Kolapo Olowooporoku [Ijebu-Ode] a student in computer science and engineering department of the OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE-IFE has commited suicide.

Sources in computer science and engineering, said, the deceased was found dead...

It was reported that kolapo took a chemical on monday and the chemical didn't kill him until wednesday/thursday 17,18 april, 2019.

He ought to have graduated already, a part 4 student, in the same department "HE SHOILD HAVE GRADUATED ALREADY, BUT FAILED SOME COURSES REPEATEDLY" another said .


In a conversation with the acting president of the department, Mr Micheal, he said "His death was a startling  loss and shock to the department of computer science and engineering despite his tremendous contributions to the progress of the department".

Kolapo is said to have been buried on friday, although it is believed that there are plans by the department to organise procession in his memory.
