REQUEST TO THE VICE CHANCELLOR ON THE IMMEDIATE OPENING OF ALL GATE LEADING TO AWOLOWO HALL

.....What they died defending had been put to scratch, when things fall apart; the center cannot hold....

It is with a humble mind that is unshaken and unwavering that we write to your office on the need to open all gates and entrances leading to AWOLOWO HALL.

This has generated into arguments in the hall of residence. Some people have proven your innocence on this issue while some believe the attack on genuine student gathering and suspension activities by your administration was also extended to halls as no portal, warden, master of any hall can do anything in isolation.

Mr Vice Chancellor, Awolowo Hall has turned to something else under your watch which negates what you enjoyed when you were in your undergraduate days. What is left for Awoites is for us to get a blue regalia with number on it which will signify us as omo school Are GBENGA or in a sane language prisoners.

The three  gates that lead to *Awo* have been locked and we must understand it is not by accident that there are 3 doors. The three doors have a purpose and it must have come out of critical reasoning of contractors and builders as all these gates are  significant. Apart from the main entrance, we have the others, one which links other two Undergraduate Halls together(Anglomoz) and one leading to Health centre for cases of emergencies.

It must interest you and at the same time this is bringing to your notice that we almost lost one of us (a foreign student) who sustain injury during  a football game today(friday) due to the closure of these gates. We had to go through  the main gate instead of passing through the shortest cut. This made the student lose a lot of blood before getting to Health Centre from where he was transferred to OAUTHC.

In a peaceful manner, without violating any laid down protocol. We are demanding for the opening of these gates to avail re-occurrence and never should Awolowo Hall which has produce great minds turn to zombies' republic

It is with all sense of humility and modesty that we in our numbers anticipate a favourable consideration on our demands from your good office.
